Fundraising
Right now we are at the important fundraising part of our campaign, where we are raising the funds to purchase the land to bring The Elder Tree vision to life.
It is a lot of fun doing fundraising and there are many ways that you can support our project.
Volunteering
If you would like to casually volunteer at events, gatherings, fundraisers etc then get in touch by email.
We are currently looking for some additional tech support and graphic design support for The Elder Tree. We are also looking for a new treasurer to join our amazing team!
Contributing Financially
If you would like to donate financially to our project then we would most gratefully receive this through here as a once-off or recurring donation. If you are interested in being a major donor and donating more than $1000 to our vision then please get in touch. We have DGR status and there are additional member benefits offered to our major donors.
If you would like to donate monthly then you can go to our Patreon page and choose any amount to donate on a regular monthly basis. Even $8 per month ($2 per week) can be amazingly helpful and you can easily cancel the monthly donations at any time.
Collaboration & Sponsorship
If you would like to collaborate on an event or fundraiser then let us know as we ABSOLUTELY THRIVE on collaboration- it is the essence of The Elder Tree and what we are all about: people and plants working together for the greater good of all. Over the next few months we have some very exciting collaborations planned. We are having a movie screening, a sound healing evening, a yoga class, an ecstatic dance session, plus other fundraiser events. So get in touch is you are an artist, musician, herbalist, venue organiser etc and would like to work together on a project. We can promote you and your business/project on our social media and website.
We are blessed to have had the opportunity so far to work with many amazing local businesses. Check them out in the HALL OF FAME (this part of the website is still in development and will be constantly updating). We love forming mutually supportive bonds and would love to have more sponsors and partners in the community.

Other small (but big) ways to help
There are limitless ways that you can play your part in this project. You may want to donate something to one of our regular hampers or paint some signs for The Elder Tree. Once we purchase the land and start setting up the facilities, there will be many jobs to do and many hands make light work! Thank you to all the hands and hearts who have played their part in us coming this far.
We are looking for rad new team leaders to help us make a difference in the herbal medicine education realms and to help us support the health of future generations!
Must be trustworthy, reliable, a good communicator and show initiative/be proactive
Role involves 2-4 hours per week managing a small team and attending monthly online or in person meetings. Can be done remotely. All training provided.

More about the management roles
The Elder Tree is forming our OPERATIONS COMMITTEE which consists of managers of teams. We currently have 5 teams:
1. FUNDING /RESOURCES: Grant writing/major donors/sponsors/manages resources/ manages all donations
2. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Info stalls/marketing/social media/newsletter etc)
3. PODCAST: Trove/social media/newsletter/promotions
4. MEMBER MANAGEMENT: Takes care of sign up process/monitoring members/monitoring payments/updating website/promotions. Also oversees volunteers in various departments
5. EDUCATIONAL MEDICINE GARDEN: The crew caring for our beautiful patch of Earth in Mullumbimby
The two management roles to be filled are the "Member Management" team manager role and the "Community Engagement" team manager role.
These two roles are very important for the thriving of The Elder Tree mission! A big part of your role would be onboarding new volunteers to your team, assign them their tasks and monitor their progress. You would need to also attend a monthly Operations Committee team meeting with the other managers to chat about how each other is going with their teams.
It is important that you have a positive outlook and love working with people and be available consistently on a weekly basis to maintain flow. Ideally 2hours, 2 days per week would be great! Get in touch to find out more and learn if this is a good fit for you.
