Who are we?
The Elder Tree is a not-for profit, non-government organisation located on the Atherton Tablelands, Far North QLD. Our goal is to empower people through grassroots herbal education, and accessible holistic health care.
The Elder Tree is currently offering face-to-face herbal education through fundraising workshops and gatherings. The Elder Tree is also currently offering online herbal education opportunities through our podcast and low-cost Patreon subscription platform.
What are we doing?
Our long term goal is to purchase land on which to build a herbal education centre and healing sanctuary on the Atherton Tablelands, Far North QLD. We are currently raising the funds to purchase the land and set up the facilities. This will be a place for holistic healing and herbal education.
As we work toward this goal we have national herbal projects like The Elder Tree Podcast, which has been created to share the wisdom of various inspirational herbal lore keepers from around Australia. We run regular events showcasing members of the Far North communiy who are creating positive change. We also welcome in various teachers into our community who have beneficial skills to teach, supporting resiliency and community-sufficiency.

Education
The Elder Tree will have a vast array of workshops, classes, courses and retreats in herbal medicine and other holistic health care modalities. There will be internships and live-in apprenticeships offered periodically.
Medicinal Botanical Gardens
Being in a subtropical climate, we are able to grow thousands of different species of medicinal plants. There will be a well signed botanical gardens set up as well as education provided about the uses of each of the plants.
Affordable Healthcare
We will run programs to assist children and low income earners to have access to free/affordable natural holistic healthcare options through our holistic multi-modality clinic.
